A press release for Ted Danson's podcast, "Where Everybody Knows Your Name," contained an embarrassing error, repeatedly referring to guest Edward Norton as "Eduardo Norton." The release also mistakenly identified Seth Rogen as Seth Meyers in a discussion about the film "Thee Invite."
The promotional material, distributed by SiriusXM, stated that "Eduardo Norton" was a guest on the podcast and discussed his involvement in "The Invite." The release further elaborated that "Eduardo Norton originally tried to direct ‘The Invite’ – had been obsessed with the Spanish version for years," and that "People tried to tell Olivia Wilde she couldn’t direct and act in the film — which Eduardo Norton and Seth Meyers defended her from, calling it a double standard."
"The Invite" stars Edward Norton and Seth Rogen, with Olivia Wilde directing and starring. Seth Meyers has a limited filmography, with his credits including the 2009 comedy "Spring Breakdown."
Sources close to Norton found the error "funny." Despite the misspelling in the press release, Danson reportedly referred to his guest as Edward Norton during the podcast episode. Other recent guests on Danson's show have included Enrique Winkler, Juan C. Reilly, and Harrison Ford. Woody Harrelson, Danson's former "Cheers" co-star, sometimes co-hosts the podcast.
