Tech Executive's 'Non-Negotiable' Dating List Sparks Online Backlash

Brooke LeBlanc, an executive at the tech company Corgi, ignited a firestorm online after posting her extensive list of "non-negotiable" qualities for a partner on X, formerly Twitter. The post, which began with "Who wants to cofound the rest of my life with me?", was followed by a detailed outline of her ideal mate.

LeBlanc specified that her desired partner must be "healthy masculine," "post-economic (still hardworking)," and "on the healing path." She also expressed a strong preference for a man who "works in tech." Her list of requirements included being between 35 and 42 years old, possessing a "provider/protector mentality," and being "smart, funny, lighthearted." Additionally, she stated a preference for a partner who does not yet have children.

The list quickly drew sharp reactions from social media users who criticized it as unrealistic and indicative of the challenges of dating in San Francisco. "I can’t imagine anything worse than being single and dating in SF," one user commented. Another expressed disbelief, stating, "Lol. I thought this was AI slop. Sad to find out it’s real." A third user advised, "Good luck. Leave your checklist at home and just fall in love with someone. You’re scoring them before you know them. No one wins with this approach. SMH."

Responding to the criticism, LeBlanc defended her stance, saying, "God forbid a woman asks for what she wants." She further retorted, "Sorry, I don’t want to date a loser!" The 29-year-old executive stated that her dating experiences over the years inspired the list. She quipped about the online criticism, noting, "Getting bullied on the Internet today, so I can be a financially free hot mom in the future."
