Tech Executive Finds 5 Potential Partners Amidst Cafe Criticism
Brooke LeBlanc, who went viral for her dating requirements, reports success in her search while her company's San Francisco cafes face customer complaints.
California tech executive Brooke LeBlanc has announced she has identified at least five potential romantic partners following her widely publicized list of requirements for a future husband. This personal success comes as her startup, Corgi, faces negative reviews for its San Francisco cafes.
LeBlanc, an executive at the insurance tech startup Corgi, shared her dating progress on X, formerly Twitter, stating, "If Mr. Right is one in 1 million Seems I’ve found at least 5 of him now!" She also noted that the viral social media post resulted in a "five figure creator check."
Her extensive dating criteria includes seeking a man between 35 and 42 who is "healthy masculine," intelligent, humorous, and lighthearted, possessing a "provider/protector mentality." The ideal candidate should also be "post economic (still hardworking)," kind, generous, and thoughtful. LeBlanc specified that potential partners should not have children but must definitively want them, and should be actively engaged in self-improvement through therapy, reading, or retreats. A commitment to fitness and sobriety are also essential. LeBlanc emphasized that while applicants can be from anywhere, she will only date individuals who live in the same city.
Additionally, Corgi, LeBlanc's company, has encountered criticism for its San Francisco locations. One Google Maps review for a Dogpatch outpost described the cafe as "smelly," poorly maintained, and offering "overpriced coffee and bad smelling bathrooms." Other customer complaints reportedly include issues with door handles falling off and the main door failing to stay closed unless locked.
Corgi, founded in 2024, provides insurance to venture-backed AI companies and has secured nearly $400 million in funding, valuing the company at $2.6 billion. The company's cafes are intended primarily as a marketing tool, with plans to open over 100 locations across San Francisco. Corgi recently acquired a commercial property in Dogpatch for $11 million, which was previously owned by an affiliate of Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry.
