Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are taking extensive measures to secure their newly acquired $5.35 million mansion in Bratenahl, Ohio, including the installation of a voice-activated warning system.
A neighbor reported that anyone approaching the property too closely receives a vocal alert, stating, "not passing onto the property after getting too close to the house."
The couple, who reportedly married in July, purchased the 21,000-square-foot lakefront home in March. The property features eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, a game room, and a theater. It is situated along Lake Erie, a significant distance from Kelce's hometown of Cleveland Heights.
While the couple has implemented these advanced security measures, local real estate agent Patricia Knight Gary of Howard Hanna Realty stated that the village itself is generally secluded. She noted that the area already has a police force that patrols regularly, and nearby condominiums are equipped with 24-hour security. Gary anticipates that the presence of Swift and Kelce may lead to discussions about potentially increasing security.
This Ohio residence is one of several properties owned by Swift and Kelce. A source previously indicated that Kelce's home in Leawood, Kansas, serves as their primary residence. Swift also maintains homes in Nashville, Rhode Island, Beverly Hills, and a Tribeca apartment in New York City.
Knight Gary commented that the local community was aware of the celebrity couple's move when the information became public. She added that it remains uncertain how much time Swift and Kelce will spend at the Ohio home, given their various residences and busy schedules. The impact of their presence on the neighborhood, including potential traffic and increased attention, is something the community is observing with a "wait and see" approach.
However, the real estate agent also suggested that the high-profile residents could potentially increase property values in the area, although she cautioned that it is difficult to predict the exact impact at this stage.
