Taylor Swift to Make History at VMAs with New Honor
Swift will receive the Artist Director Honors award, breaking her tie with Beyonce for most VMA wins.
Taylor Swift is set to make history at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, becoming the first artist to receive the Artist Director Honors award. The ceremony will take place tonight at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
This anticipated win will mark Swift's 31st Moon Man trophy, surpassing her previous tie with Beyonce and establishing her as the most decorated artist in VMA history.
Also featured at the event will be the return of Madonna, her first appearance at the VMAs in 23 years. The pop icon last performed in 2003, famously sharing same-sex kisses with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Madonna is nominated for 11 awards, closely followed by Swift with nine nominations.
The show is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT, hosted by Snoop Dogg. Performances are expected from artists such as Lisa, Shaboozey, and RAYE, with tributes planned for music legends Dolly Parton and George Michael.
