Following her Artist Director Award win, Swift's new music video for "Patient Zero" was screened. Unseen footage captured Swift's enthusiastic reaction as she stopped, turned, and pointed at the screen. She and Dakota Johnson, who presented the award and starred in the video, watched it together from the stage. Johnson draped her arm around Swift, who rested her hand on Johnson's arm. The "Patient Zero" music video, directed and scripted by Swift, also stars Colin Farrell and Cara Delevingne. The video depicts a toxic romance between Farrell and Johnson's characters, with Farrell also sharing a forbidden kiss with Delevingne, who plays his mistress. Swift appears in the video as the deceased fiancée of Farrell's character, returning from the dead to warn Johnson's character about his abusive behavior.
