Taylor Swift's New Song Sparks Speculation of Apology to Ex Tom Hiddleston

Taylor Swift's latest song, "Pink Clouding," has ignited speculation among fans that it contains an apology to her former boyfriend, actor Tom Hiddleston. The lyrics of the track, featured on her new album "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore," appear to address the whirlwind romance the two shared in 2016.

"Pink Clouding" is described as a phase in early addiction recovery characterized by intense euphoria. In the song, Swift, 36, seemingly reflects on the excitement Hiddleston, 45, felt during their relationship.

"And it was so good / Letting you want me / So good / To make promises, promises," Swift sings. Fans have noted connections between "Pink Clouding" and Swift's 2017 song "Getaway Car," which also references Hiddleston and their meeting at the 2016 Met Gala. The new song includes the line, "You met me at a cursed time," echoing "Getaway Car's" lyric, "I knew it from the first Old Fashioned, we were cursed."

Further lyrics in "Pink Clouding" suggest Swift's regret over their breakup. "And you were so good / That’s why you haunt me," she sings, later adding, "And I swear to God, to this day / I wake up scared that I left scars on a good person."
