Taylor Swift's New Music Features 'Dirty' Travis Kelce Reference, Fans React

Taylor Swift has released new music as part of the extended edition of her album, 'The Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore,' and one track has sent fans into a frenzy with a seemingly explicit reference to her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce.

The new songs include 'Patient Zero,' 'Pink Clouding,' 'Babylon,' and 'Cleveland!,' with the latter track appearing to allude to Kelce's hometown in Ohio. A lyric in 'Cleveland!' states, "The taste of me is acquired, but it's his favorite dish." This line has been widely interpreted by fans on social media platforms like X as a provocative reference to their intimacy.

Fans quickly took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their surprise and excitement. Comments included "THE TASTE OF ME IS ACQUIRED BUT ITS HIS FAVORITE DISH????????????? This is not the first time Swift has included lyrics that fans believe are direct references to Kelce. The song 'Cleveland!' has also generated discussion among fans for its apparent declaration of affection. Swift announced the release of 'The Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore' on the Wednesday before its Friday drop, sharing on Instagram that the new songs were born out of gratitude for the album's success. She mentioned celebrating the album's release with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden, where they ended up writing additional tracks.

Additionally, Swift released her new single 'Patient Zero' from the extended edition. A music video for 'Patient Zero' features actors Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell. A preview of the video was shared on CBS Mornings, showing Swift and Johnson in various scenes, including a dark bathroom, a spacious room with a statue, and a snowy cemetery.

Johnson spoke about her collaboration with Swift, stating that they have been friends for a long time and work well together. "Normally, I would say don't work with your friends, but we work really well together," Johnson said.

Swift is also scheduled to receive the inaugural Artist-Director Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, where the 'Patient Zero' music video is set to debut. This comes after Swift previously released the song 'I Knew It, I Knew You' for the 'Toy Story 5' soundtrack in June.
