Taylor Swift's Former Beverly Hills Home, Where '1989' Was Written, Lists for $8 Million
The Pillsbury Estate, purchased by Swift in 2011, has undergone renovations and is back on the market.
Taylor Swift's former home in Beverly Hills, known as the Pillsbury Estate, has been listed for sale at $7.995 million. Swift purchased the property in 2011 and is credited with writing her hit album "1989" within its walls.
The estate, originally built in 1941, sits on 1.5 acres and features a motor court with parking for eight cars, mature live oak trees, and a pickleball court. The property includes a main residence with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, as well as a separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house.
Swift sold the home off-market in 2018 to its current owners, fashion designer Nicolas Bijan and interior designer Roxy Bijan. The couple has since completed extensive renovations throughout the property. Their work on the home was recognized by Architectural Digest in 2021.
"The house is special because of the privacy and the seclusion. It feels like you’re in the English countryside — but you can hop in the car and head straight to the Polo Lounge," Nicolas Bijan told Page Six Hollywood. He added that he began his fashion brand, NB44, in the home's office, inspired by the creative energy of the space.
The Bijans also chose the estate as the location for their wedding in 2020 after their Lake Como nuptials were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They have since welcomed two children.
Swifties may recognize the home from Swift's 2014 Vogue "73 Questions" video interview, where she gave a tour of the property. An olive tree planted by her former partner, DJ Calvin Harris, remains on the grounds.
