Taylor Swift Opts for Comfort with Sneakers at Travis Kelce Wedding Reception
The pop superstar changed into a more casual footwear option during her wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden.
Taylor Swift swapped her elaborate bridal heels for a more comfortable choice of footwear during the reception of her wedding to Travis Kelce, a source revealed. The couple exchanged vows on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Swift, 36, had initially worn a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture gown, designed by Jonathan Anderson, for the ceremony. This was complemented by personalized Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. However, for the reception, she changed into sneakers, according to an insider who spoke with Page Six.
"Taylor changed dresses between the ceremony and reception. She wore sneakers during part of the reception and wore her hair down," the source stated.
The wedding transformed Madison Square Garden into an extravagant venue, featuring elaborate decorations, diverse food stations, and carnival-style entertainment. The exterior of the Garden was illuminated with pink digital screens displaying "JUST&T MARRIED!" in the evening.
The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler, with Swift's brother, Austin, serving as her man of honor and Kelce's brother, Jason, as best man. Over 1,000 guests, including family, friends, teammates, and celebrities, were in attendance.
Despite the large number of attendees, Swift made an effort to personally engage with her guests. "Despite the number of people, she really made a point of greeting guests throughout the celebration and made everybody feel so welcome," the source added.
Kelce, 37, has since described the wedding as the "best night of my life." The newlyweds are reportedly navigating their new married life while balancing their demanding careers, adjusting to a new rhythm after spending considerable time together in the months leading up to the wedding.
Their relationship began in 2023 when Swift was first seen attending a Kansas City Chiefs game in September. They announced their engagement in August 2025. The couple plans to divide their time between multiple properties across the country, adapting to their schedules during football season and Swift's touring commitments.
