Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance on the Oct. 2 episode of "Saturday Night Live," joining host Dakota Johnson during her opening monologue. Johnson, who was celebrating her 37th birthday, joked about her past relationships with musicians, referring to them as "very lame" and humorously suggesting that "some of [her exes] are terrible in bed." She playfully dubbed Swift her "therapist" during the segment.
This marked Johnson's third time hosting "SNL." She previously made a surprise cameo in December 2025 during a musical performance by Lily Allen. Swift's appearance added an unexpected element to Johnson's birthday celebration on the NBC sketch show.
