Taylor Swift Joins Dakota Johnson for Star-Studded 'SNL' Birthday Celebration

Taylor Swift attended an "Saturday Night Live" after-party to celebrate Dakota Johnson's 37th birthday, according to reports. Swift had earlier made a surprise appearance during Johnson's monologue on the show.

The singer reportedly arrived at the party at L'Avenue at Saks discreetly, entering through a separate entrance from the main venue. Swift was accompanied by friends Cara Delevingne and Ashley Avignone and stayed for approximately one hour. During the celebration, Swift was observed eating French fries at a table near Johnson's.

A source told Page Six that the "vibes were great" as guests gathered to celebrate Johnson's birthday. Oversized silver balloons spelling out Johnson's name were also present.

Earlier in the evening, during the "SNL" broadcast, Johnson, who was hosting for the third time, referred to Swift as her "therapist" during her monologue. Swift playfully responded, "I’m not your therapist, actually. You just show up at my house once a week with an empty bottle of wine and ask me if I want some."

Swift also presented Johnson with a birthday cake at the end of the show. Johnson was seen wearing a plaid off-the-shoulder dress.

Attendees at the after-party included the musical guest Turnstile, "SNL" cast member Michael Che, Nathan Fielder, Steven Spielberg, Gabby Windey, Robby Hoffman, John Wilson, Shane Gillis, Kelli Finglass, Shai Fruchter, and Dom Dolla.

Separately, Johnson continued her birthday celebrations on Sunday evening with a dinner at Via Carota in the West Village. She was joined by Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney. Swift was not reported to be present at this dinner.

Johnson and Swift have been friends for over a decade and have been seen together at various New York City dining establishments. Johnson also appeared in Swift's recent music video for her song "Patient Zero," which premiered on September 27 during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
