Taylor Swift Crashes Dakota Johnson's SNL Monologue in Plaid Dress
The pop star made a surprise appearance during the actress's opening monologue on Saturday Night Live.
Taylor Swift made a surprise cameo on "Saturday Night Live" during Dakota Johnson's opening monologue, opting for a plaid ensemble for the occasion. Swift wore a Simkhai plaid off-the-shoulder mini dress, complemented by a YSL Cassandre Chain Belt and a Cartier Love Unlimited Bracelet.
Swift, 36, completed her look with Burberry leather pillar boots. This plaid outfit recalled a similar off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood dress she wore in October 2024 while attending a Kansas City Chiefs game, where her now-husband, Travis Kelce, was playing.
The couple reportedly married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with Johnson among the guests.
Swift's appearance on "SNL" followed Johnson's starring role in the pop singer's new music video, "Patient Zero," released on September 27. During her monologue, Johnson humorously referenced her recent breakups with musicians Chris Martin and Role Model, joking about her dating life.
"Some people leave concerts with merch, I leave concerts with a two-and-a-half-year relationship," Johnson quipped, alluding to her past romances and her new movie, "Verity." She continued, "But I have really good friends. They don’t judge me for dating these men. They’re actually really supportive."
As Swift walked onstage, Johnson introduced her as "my literal therapist." Swift playfully responded, "I’m not your therapist, actually. You just show up at my house once a week with an empty bottle of wine and ask me if I want some."
Johnson is rumored to be dating Machine Gun Kelly, following reports of their date night in New York City last month. Her friendship with Swift dates back to at least 2015, with the two also seen together with Cara Delevingne on a girls' night out in New York City the following year.
