Taylor Swift was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night, celebrating as her husband, Travis Kelce, scored a touchdown for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Indianapolis Colts. Cameras captured Swift in her luxury suite pointing to her ring, reportedly a gift valued at up to $1 million, following the play.
Swift was seated with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce. The singer had previously attended the Chiefs' Week 1 game and was seen alongside actor Tom Cruise. She reportedly skipped the Emmy Awards to attend Sunday's game.
This appearance comes shortly after reports emerged that Kelce was named as a victim in a significant Ponzi scheme. According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's office, Siddharth Jawahar, an illegal immigrant, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for defrauding investors of over $35 million. Jawahar operated Swiftarc Capital LLC and allegedly funneled client funds into a single investment, Philip Morris Pakistan. Prosecutors claim he misled investors, including Kelce, about their investment performance and used new investor money to pay earlier clients.
The court heard that Jawahar allegedly spent a portion of the funds on personal luxuries, with only about $10 million of the $35 million reportedly invested. The exact amount Kelce lost in the scheme has not been disclosed, and authorities have clarified that he is a victim and not implicated in any wrongdoing.
Earlier on Saturday, Swift and Kelce had attended a birthday celebration for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes at 1587 Prime, a steakhouse co-owned by Mahomes and Kelce. The following day, Kelce arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in a Louis Vuitton jacket.
