Taylor Swift Announces "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore"
The expanded album will feature four new songs and is set for release this Friday.
Taylor Swift announced on Wednesday that an expanded version of her 2025 album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” titled “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” will be released this Friday. The deluxe edition will include four previously unreleased songs: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.”
Swift shared the news on Instagram, expressing gratitude to her fans for the original album's success. “About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history,” she wrote.
She explained that the new tracks were written during a trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback shortly after the original album's release last October. "I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made," Swift stated.
The announcement follows Swift's earlier reveal of her new single, “Patient Zero,” which is scheduled for release on September 25. Pre-orders for limited-edition CDs of “Patient Zero,” featuring different photos of Swift and varying colored trims, are available on her website.
“The Life of a Showgirl” was originally released in October 2025, with Swift announcing the album in August 2025 on her then-fiancé Travis Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights.” The 12-track album included songs like “Wi$h Li$t” and “Wood,” which were reportedly dedicated to Kelce. Swift and Kelce married on July 3, 2026, after becoming engaged in August 2025.
