Tourists and fans converged on Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, drawn by a large "JUST & T MARRIED!" digital display, which many mistook for the wedding of singer Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce.

The spectacle outside the arena prompted surprise and excitement among visitors who happened to be in the area.

"I felt like I couldn’t be in New York City and miss out on this spectacle," said Charlie Kiley, a data analyst visiting from Chicago. "I wish they did this in Chicago." Kiley, in town for Fourth of July festivities, added that he was drawn by the "big production" and his admiration for Swift's music.

Some visitors, including those from overseas, were impressed by the public display and the surrounding security. Tiffany Hwang, 21, from Taiwan, and her friend Jason Lee, 21, expressed well wishes for the couple.

"I wish them a very blessed and good life together," Hwang told the Post, adding that she admires Swift's songwriting. Lee noted his shared university alma mater with Kelce.

Siearie Smith, 36, traveling from Minnesota with her mother, stumbled upon the scene while sightseeing in Times Square. "For one person’s wedding this is very cool," Smith remarked upon seeing the "just married" sign.

Others, like Sadiel Saavedre, 30, of Miami, waited for hours outside the venue hoping to catch a glimpse of Swift, citing a personal connection to her music.

The "JUST & T MARRIED!" display, intended for a different event, created a momentary buzz as tourists and fans interpreted it as a celebration of the celebrity couple's union.
