Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Mansion Security Plans Denied by Ohio Village Board

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce encountered a setback in their efforts to enhance security at their new Ohio mansion when village planners denied their request for an 8-foot fence. The couple had aimed to erect a substantial barrier around their lakeside estate in Bratenahl, Ohio, for privacy.

However, the Bratenahl Architectural Review Board did not approve the proposed fence. According to reports, the board cited local codes that limit fences around lakefront properties to 2.5 feet in height unless they are at least 75% transparent. These regulations are in place to maintain unobstructed views of Lake Erie and protect property values.

The village board reportedly did not approve the request during meetings held in August and earlier in September. Following discussions with neighbors and village officials, Swift and Kelce reportedly agreed to a compromise, opting for a lower fence that does not fully enclose their property. Travis Kelce, who purchased the mansion in March, is described as having been cooperative during these discussions.

This is not the only security measure the couple has implemented at their new home. Swift and Kelce have also reportedly installed a warning alarm system around the property. A neighbor shared that an audible warning is issued to anyone approaching too closely to the house.

Kelce acquired the 21,000-square-foot mansion for $5.35 million. The property features 8 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a game room, and a home theater. The home is located in Bratenahl, a village near Cleveland Heights, where Kelce grew up.

Swift and Kelce's real estate holdings extend beyond Ohio, with properties also located in Kansas, New York, Tennessee, Rhode Island, and California. They reportedly married in July.
