Plans for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding celebration reportedly include a three-day event at Madison Square Garden, beginning with a rehearsal dinner on Thursday and culminating in a reception that extends into early Friday morning. Sources told Page Six that the rehearsal dinner will take place on the theater floor of the venue, hosting 100 guests.
The main wedding ceremony is slated for Friday afternoon, with the reception following in the main arena. Approximately 1,000 guests are expected for the Friday festivities, which will run from 6:30 p.m. until 2 a.m. The couple is said to have rented out the entire venue for an estimated $3 million, a cost previously reported by TMZ. The third day is reportedly dedicated to the breakdown of the event.
Security is expected to be a significant component of the celebration, with the New York Police Department on hand. Guests arriving in vehicles, estimated at 500, will utilize a covered drop-off area, while A-list attendees are expected to enter through a garage at Penn Station. Tents and security personnel have been observed outside the venue as preparations are underway. The couple filed a permit requesting street closures around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to July 4 for the event and the setup of a public tent.
Elaborate decorations are also part of the plan, with reports of a castle being constructed for the wedding decor. Riggers have been seen draping fabric and moving large structures, some hidden by tarps.
The guest list is anticipated to include numerous celebrities, with names such as Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Suki Waterhouse, and Gigi Hadid reportedly invited. Musical performances are also planned, with Swift's friends Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw expected to perform.
This event is described as fitting Swift's style, as the singer owns an apartment in Tribeca and is known for hosting significant gatherings around the July 4th holiday weekend. Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce, who began their relationship in 2023, announced their engagement in August.
