Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly changed their wedding plans, moving away from a venue in Rhode Island due to security considerations. The couple had initially considered a Rhode Island location, with June 13 noted as a potential date, but concerns arose about managing the scale of the event.

A source told Us Weekly that security assessments indicated that Rhode Island's access points and perimeters would be too difficult to secure effectively for an event of their size. "Taylor and Travis really wanted their wedding in Rhode Island, and June 13 was the date, but security wouldn’t have worked because it could get out of hand with that kind of scale of an event," the insider stated.

Plans that were once focused on Rhode Island, including a potential venue at Ocean House in Westerly, were ultimately changed as the guest list grew. "Everything was being planned in Rhode Island. And so many people wanted to come that plans had to change because it became bigger," the source explained.

Following these considerations, the couple's wedding is now slated to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3. The transition to a New York City venue involved filing permits to manage street closures around the venue and setting up a public tent outside.

Reports indicate that a guest list for the wedding includes notable figures such as Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Suki Waterhouse, Gigi Hadid, and Selena Gomez. Additionally, Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are rumored to be among the performers. The pop star is also expected to have multiple outfit changes during the celebration. Security measures for the event are being handled with a high degree of secrecy.
