Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce exchanged vows on Friday in a lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden, drawing a constellation of stars from entertainment and sports. The couple, both 36, married in front of approximately 1,000 guests in the iconic New York City venue.
News of their union was announced via video advertisements displayed at the arena, featuring the message "JUST&T MARRIED," a nod to their shared initials.
The guest list included a notable array of celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Steven Spielberg, Karlie Kloss, Barbara Corcoran, Selena Gomez, and Sabrina Carpenter.
During the arrival of guests, a viral TikTok video captured an employee working the check-in desk exhibiting an overt, yet relatable, display of excitement upon recognizing attendees. As author Jenny Han entered, the staffer appeared to struggle to maintain composure, later expressing her astonishment to a coworker. This candid reaction resonated with viewers online, who praised her genuine fangirl moment.
Swift's publicist confirmed details of the wedding, stating that actor Adam Sandler officiated. Swift wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture and chose her brother, Austin Swift, as her "man of honor." Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, served as his best man.
Karlie Kloss and her husband, Joshua Kushner, were among the surprise guests, noted after past reports of a strained relationship between Kloss and Swift.
Following the ceremony, the celebration reportedly evolved into a concert, with performances by Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, and Tim McGraw. It is also believed that Swift herself performed for her husband and guests.
The festivities commenced with a more intimate gathering on Thursday for approximately 100 close family members and friends at MSG's smaller Infosys Theater. AMC CEO Adam Aron shared details from the event on X, describing the venue's transformation into a "secret garden" with peach and white drapery, and large photo displays of Swift and Kelce throughout their childhoods. He also noted that a portion of the arena was sectioned off to create an intimate setting with green and white decor, real flowers, and artificial trees, accommodating around 1,000 attendees. Aron characterized the vows as emotional and charming, emphasizing the couple's evident joy and soulmate connection.
