Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Enjoy NYC Date Amid Neighbor Dispute
The celebrity couple was seen holding hands in New York City while facing ongoing concerns from residents about their Ohio estate.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen holding hands during a date night in New York City on Friday. The outing follows a romantic birthday dinner for Kelce in Manhattan earlier in the week.
The couple reportedly dined at Old Rose inside The Jane Hotel, although the restaurant's Yelp listing indicates it is permanently closed. Celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi speculated the pair may have visited the members-only club San Vicente.
Swift wore a dark green top and coordinating olive green pants, paired with loafers and a small black purse. Kelce was seen in a cream-colored shirt and dark brown trousers, and was photographed escorting Swift to a waiting SUV.
This public appearance comes as the couple faces opposition from some residents in Bratenahl, Ohio, regarding proposed landscaping and security upgrades to their $5 million lakefront property. Neighbors have voiced concerns about potential impacts on shared infrastructure, including the sewer system, and the privacy implications of a new fence.
One resident, Katherine Bolton, expressed worries that proposed evergreen plantings could lead to "catastrophic sewer backups." Another neighbor, Chuck Bauernschmidt, raised issues about the removal of existing foliage and the safety of a newly installed fence. Swift and Kelce had initially proposed an 8-foot fence, which was later reduced to 6 feet following neighbor feedback. Their contractor has stated that the couple is working to address residents' concerns.
While plans for the front yard have reportedly been approved, revised landscaping proposals are anticipated. Swift and Kelce have not publicly commented on the neighborhood controversy.
