Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their first public appearance as a married couple on Friday, attending the wedding of Kelce's former Kansas City Chiefs teammate, JuJu Smith-Schuster. The appearance came just one week after their own highly publicized $50 million wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden.
The couple attended Smith-Schuster's wedding to Laura Kruk, which took place at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Orange County, California. Swift wore a strapless pink Markarian gown, while Kelce was dressed in a black suit. They were seen holding hands and appearing affectionate throughout the event.
Several of Kelce's current and former Chiefs teammates were in attendance, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany. Guests were observed enjoying champagne and beer during the ceremony and reception.
Smith-Schuster, who now plays for the New York Giants, and his bride were reportedly among the guests at Swift and Kelce's wedding on July 3.
The appearance at Smith-Schuster's wedding marks a brief pause in what is understood to be the couple's honeymoon. Following their New York nuptials, Swift and Kelce reportedly spent time in Big Sky, Montana, before traveling to California on Thursday. They were later seen arriving at Swift's Beverly Hills mansion.
Reports suggest that Swift and Kelce are expected to continue their honeymoon in Europe, potentially island-hopping around Greece and other European destinations.
The wedding festivities for Smith-Schuster and Kruk followed Swift and Kelce's own elaborate celebration. Their New York wedding reportedly featured extensive floral arrangements costing millions of dollars and a guest list that included numerous celebrities and athletes. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, and Paul McCartney performed at the reception.
While many of Kelce's Chiefs teammates were invited to his wedding, reports suggest that not all players received invitations, leading to some locker-room discussions. Notably, kicker Harrison Butker, who has made controversial public statements, was reportedly not invited, which has caused some division among teammates. Former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton also publicly stated they were not invited to the main wedding event, expressing surprise.
