A professional lip reader has revealed the topic of conversation between Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise during Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs game on Monday night. The exchange, which took place in the VIP Suite at Arrowhead Stadium, was captured by ESPN cameras.

Nicola Hickling, founder of LipReader, told the Daily Mail that Swift commented on the "structure of the entire infrastructure of the audience." Cruise reportedly responded, "You may not know it, but you do have a job."

Swift appeared to agree, nodding and saying "right." Cruise then added, "I told her to stick to one and that it's the last time," to which Swift again nodded in approval. The identity of an unnamed woman who was also present remains unknown.

Swift was also seen celebrating when Kelce surpassed Jason Witten for career receiving yards among tight ends, exclaiming "Yes, oh my God" and hugging her mother, Andrea. She later shared a hug and high-five with Cruise.

Swift's father, Scott, and Kelce's mother, Donna, were also in attendance, among a group of friends and family.

Cruise has prior cinematic connections to football, having starred as a lovestruck agent in "Jerry Maguire" and a high school football star in "All the Right Moves" in 1983.

Swift's attendance at the Chiefs' season opener came despite her 2025 concert film, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour - The Final Show," being nominated for multiple Emmy awards. The film, however, did not win any awards at the Creative Arts Emmys held earlier this month. Swift chose to support Kelce's game instead of attending the Emmy ceremony.
