Taylor Strecker was in the midst of auditioning for “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” when she secured her role in Stassi Schroeder's upcoming Hulu show, “House of Stassi.” Strecker, a close friend of Schroeder for over a decade, revealed the parallel processes in an interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea.”

The podcast host explained that “House of Stassi” had been in development for some time when she received the call from Bravo about the “RHONJ” audition. Schroeder, the "Vanderpump Rules" alum, encouraged Strecker to pursue the opportunity, calling it a chance to "live your dream."

"She’s the best friend ever," Strecker said of Schroeder. "She’s like, ‘You gotta go — it’s ‘Housewives’ — you gotta go and give it your all, and let’s just see, and we’ll figure it out. Don’t worry. Live your dream.' So, I did."

However, Strecker stated that she has not yet received a callback from Bravo producers regarding her “RHONJ” audition. "Here’s the thing about auditioning. You never get a call saying you didn’t get it, so I’m still waiting!" she told “VRT.”

Filming for Season 15 of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” began this spring. Bravo announced in March that original cast members Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Dolores Catania would return for the upcoming season, joined by a new group of cast members.

Strecker appears to be focused on “House of Stassi,” which will also feature Schroeder’s husband, Beau Clark, and former “Vanderpump Rules” cast members Katie Maloney and Kristina Kelly. Strecker described the upcoming show as the opposite of scripted, advising that "If you think it, say it."

"House of Stassi" is set to premiere on July 29 on Freeform and will be available for streaming on Hulu on July 30.
