Taylor Sheridan's "The Run For A Million" horse-reining competition is set to air this weekend on CBS and Paramount+. The event, which took place in Las Vegas earlier this month, features 16 riders competing for a $1 million prize.
The competition involves riders guiding horses through a pattern of circles, spins, and stops. "The Run For A Million" was created by Sheridan, the producer behind "Yellowstone," in 2019 and has been featured in his docuseries "The Last Cowboy."
This year's competition will be documented in Season 7 of "The Last Cowboy," scheduled to air on CMT later this fall. Sheridan will also be an executive producer on the special airing this weekend and will call the competition himself.
Among the 16 riders competing are Jason Vanlandingham, Andrea Fappani, Kole Price, Casey Deary, Cade McCutcheon, Gina Schumacher, Dany Tremblay, Gabriel Borges, Francesco Martinotti, Ben Beckett, Trevor Dare, Alessandro Frassa, Arno Honstetter, Mirko Miidi, Martin Muehlstaetter, and Fernando Salgado.
"The Run For A Million" will air on Saturday, August 22, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. The streaming service offers two plans: Essential for $8.99 per month and Premium for $13.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial available for the Premium plan.
