Taylor Sheridan's 'Landman' Season 3 Delayed, Expected Mid-to-Late 2027
Production challenges have pushed the release of the Paramount+ oil drama, with new cast members joining and others upgraded to series regulars.
Production delays have postponed the return of Taylor Sheridan's oil drama "Landman" for its third season. The series, which chronicles the world of West Texas oil, is now anticipated to premiere on Paramount+ in mid-to-late 2027.
Production and Casting Updates
The delay stems from the late start of production on Season 3, which did not commence filming in Fort Worth, Texas, until October. The first two seasons of "Landman" were released in November of 2024 and 2025, respectively, adhering to a more typical production schedule.
Despite the production shift, the upcoming season will feature new and expanded roles for its cast. Michael Kelly, known for his role in "Lioness," has joined the series as a "titan of industry who leads the largest oil management firm in the world." Additionally, Colm Feore (Nathan), Mustafa Speaks (Boss), Bobbi Salvor Menuez (Paigyn Meester), and Francesca Xuereb (Cheyenne) have been promoted to series regulars.
Season 2 Finale and Series Renewal
"Landman" was officially renewed for a third season in December 2025, following its critical and commercial success on Paramount+. The second season finale aired on January 18, 2026. The first two seasons of the series are currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
