Liberal leader Angus Taylor has firmly rejected Pauline Hanson's overtures for the Coalition to join forces with One Nation, stating his sole objective is to remove the Labor government and that One Nation is "not the solution."

In a speech at the Sydney Institute, Taylor criticized One Nation's platform, describing it as "long on rhetoric but short on substance" and a "random grab bag of poorly defined, contradictory and constantly changing positions." He further claimed that One Nation's policies could lead to "an extra trillion dollars of spending over 10 years" and characterized the party as a "one-person show."

Senator Hanson, in a video message from London, expressed disappointment with Taylor's comments, emphasizing that she is "not your enemy." She urged the Liberal leader to set aside differences to collaborate against the Labor-Greens government, which she described as "toxic."

"The people of Australia are crying out for change. Listen to the people, Angus and work with me. Stop denigrating One Nation and work together," Hanson stated.

Recent opinion polls indicate a significant drop in support for the Coalition, which is trailing behind One Nation. According to the latest Newspoll, One Nation is polling at 28 percent, with the Coalition at 19 percent, while Labor leads with 31 percent.
