Taylor Hanson Eliminated from 'Dancing With the Stars' During 'Yacht Rock Night'

Singer Taylor Hanson and his professional partner Britt Stewart were eliminated from "Dancing With the Stars" during the show's "Yacht Rock Night" episode on Tuesday. Their Foxtrot performance, set to The Doobie Brothers' "What a Fool Believes," earned them a score of 18 out of 30.

This week's theme celebrated the yacht rock era, with contestants performing to smooth grooves and soft-rock classics. The elimination followed performances by the remaining Season 35 contestants, who danced to iconic hits from the genre.

Ahead of the elimination, co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro announced that "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" personality Guillermo Rodriguez and his partner Witney Carson, along with Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson and his partner Emma Slater, were also in jeopardy.

Several songs from the band Hall & Oates were featured during the night. "Glee" alum Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson performed a Jive to "You Make My Dreams (Come True)," earning a 24/30. "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" actress Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik danced a Quickstep to "Maneater," receiving a 21/30.

"Save the Last Dance" star Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa performed a Salsa to Hall & Oates' "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)," scoring 19/30. Stiles had previously expressed emotions over low scores and a rib injury.

The music of Toto also inspired performances, with Olympian Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov receiving a 24/30 for their Foxtrot to "Hold the Line." Actress Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy earned a 21/30 for their Samba to Toto's "Africa."

"Bachelorette" alum Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess performed a Jive to Orleans' "Still the One," scoring 17/30. "The Traitors" star Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas received a 22/30 for their Quickstep to George Benson's "Turn Your Love Around."

"Summer House" personality Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong performed a Cha Cha to Luther Vandross' "Never Too Much," receiving a 18/30. Comedian Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold danced a Foxtrot to Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere," scoring 20/30.

Paralympic gold medalist Ezra French and Daniella Karagach earned a 21/30 for their Foxtrot to Grover Washington Jr.'s "Just the Two of Us" featuring Bill Withers.

Rodriguez and Carson's Foxtrot to Rupert Holmes' "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" garnered a 15/30, while Olson and Slater's Paso Doble to Philip Bailey and Phil Collins' "Easy Lover" received an 18/30.

Previously eliminated contestants this season include "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star Conner Leavitt, "Love Thy Nader" actress Sarah Jane Nader, and celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis.

New episodes of "Dancing With the Stars" air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with streaming available on Hulu the following day.
