Taylor Frankie Paul's ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen, contacted the Bluffdale Police Department in Utah to clarify details surrounding a protective order amidst their ongoing custody dispute over their son, Ever, 2.

The police department confirmed the interaction, stating Mortensen, 33, sought clarification on who is authorized to handle the pick-up and drop-off of their child and whether the existing protective order had been violated. Authorities subsequently contacted Paul, 32, for her statement before escalating the case to the District Attorney’s office.

It is now up to the District Attorney's office to determine if any violation occurred. As of the report, no active case is open against either individual.

Following the incident, Paul publicly addressed the situation on her since-deleted Instagram Story, writing, "Cops called on me again THIS WEEK... What are the odds? And it's not people... it's ONE person, the same person. It's obsessive." The social media personality accused Mortensen of obsessive behavior.

Paul and Mortensen have been engaged in a contentious custody battle since their separation, marked by multiple domestic violence allegations and police investigations.

In March, Mortensen was granted sole custody of Ever after alleging Paul had been physically violent. A month later, in April, Paul, who also shares two children with her ex-husband Tate Paul, was granted supervised visits with Ever. A judge had expressed concerns about Paul's "volatility," limiting her visitation to six hours per week until a subsequent court date.

During a court appearance on April 30, both Paul and Mortensen were ordered to maintain a distance of 100 feet from each other, as stipulated by their mutual protective orders. A judge presiding over the case urged the former couple to find a way to function as co-parents.

Mortensen previously stated that his focus was on Ever and establishing a stable environment for him. Paul has also spoken about the emotional toll of their situation, sharing with a fan on Instagram that she felt "stuck" and was experiencing "emotional overwhelm or numbness."
