Taylor Frankie Paul's Custody Case Further Complicated by Alleged Failed Drug Tests

Taylor Frankie Paul has reportedly faced a significant setback in her custody battle, with her parenting time allegedly reduced to eight hours per week following multiple failed court-ordered drug tests within the last 60 days, according to TMZ.

The reality television personality, known for "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," is reportedly limited to four hours of visitation with her two children, Indy and Ocean, whom she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul, and four hours with her son Ever, shared with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.

While the specific substances detected were not disclosed, reports suggest that at least one of the substances is not commonly available as a prescription medication.

A source close to the situation told Page Six that there has been a strict gag order in place, and any information leaked to the media is perceived as a continuation of harassment and intimidation tactics Taylor has allegedly faced throughout her custody disputes.

This latest development comes after a July 8 court hearing where a judge had previously expanded Paul's parenting time to include one weekday and alternating weekends. Later that month, reports indicated that Paul declined separate proposals from her two exes that would have granted her 40 percent custody of the children, with a source stating Paul felt the offers were disingenuous and not focused on the children's well-being.

Paul temporarily lost custody of her son Ever in March following the leak of a video depicting a 2023 domestic dispute between her and Mortensen. Subsequently, Mortensen was granted full custody of Ever and a temporary order of protection against Paul. Tate Paul also filed for a temporary restraining order and sole custody of their children in June.

The ongoing custody battles have coincided with disruptions in Paul's television career. Production for Season 5 of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" was halted in March, and her season of "The Bachelorette" was canceled the same month. However, reports indicate Paul is slated to return for Season 6 of "SLOMW," a decision that led to co-star Mikayla Matthews quitting the series due to ethical concerns related to children being involved.
