Tammin Sursok Pauses Partnership with Sam Wood Amid Domestic Violence Charges
Actress Tammin Sursok announced she has 'zero tolerance' for domestic violence and has immediately paused her business partnership with fitness guru Sam Wood following his arrest on domestic violence charges.
Home and Away actress Tammin Sursok has suspended her business partnership with fitness personality Sam Wood after he was arrested and charged with domestic violence offenses. Sursok stated on Instagram that she has "zero tolerance" for domestic and family violence and is standing firmly against it.
"In light of the reports, I have immediately paused my partnership with 28 by Sam Wood and removed related promotional content from my social channels while this matter is before the courts," Sursok wrote. "My thoughts are with anyone impacted by domestic and family violence."
Wood, 46, a former reality television contestant, was arrested on Saturday evening after police responded to reports of alleged domestic violence at a Noosa property. He faces charges of assault occasioning bodily harm in a domestic setting and strangulation in a domestic setting.
Wood's legal representative appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, requesting the case be relisted for Thursday, at which time Wood is expected to apply for bail. He remains in custody until then.
The parent company of Wood's fitness business, DBG Health, also issued a statement. "DBG Health has zero tolerance for domestic violence," a spokesperson said. "While the matter is under investigation and before the court, Sam Wood is on indefinite leave from his duties." The company's Chief Operating Officer will lead the business during Wood's absence. This also affects Wood's role with Ollo For Women, another DBG Health-owned business.
Wood, who has three children with his wife Snezana, whom he met on "The Bachelor Australia" in 2015, has not personally commented further beyond a joint statement with his wife on Instagram that read, "This is a difficult time for all of us, we are working through this as a family and are thoroughly co-operating with the authorities."
