Sylvester Stallone Defends Nepotism, Calls Critics 'Idiots'

Sylvester Stallone is pushing back against criticism of nepotism, particularly concerning his daughter Scarlet Rose Stallone's role in the crime drama "Tulsa King." Stallone, 80, stated that parents are not good if they do not employ some form of nepotism, as their children's well-being is their priority.

"Of course it’s nepotism, you idiot," Stallone said, according to USA Today. "That’s why we’re parents. We want the best for our children. So obviously we let them have every advantage."

Stallone, known for his roles in "Rocky" and "Rambo," emphasized that while he provides opportunities, maintaining a high level of performance is up to the individual.

Scarlet, 24, portrays Spencer in "Tulsa King," where her father stars as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a mobster building a criminal empire in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Scarlet, who first appeared in Season 1, takes on a more significant role in the current season, with her character becoming more involved in the family's criminal activities.

Stallone also recently discussed the physical toll his career has taken. He revealed to Fox News Digital that his work on "The Expendables" resulted in severe injuries, including nine back operations, three neck fusions, and both shoulders being torn. He now advises against performing one's own stunts, calling his younger self an "idiot" for enduring such injuries.

Stallone shares three daughters—Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet—with his wife, Jennifer Flavin.
