Sydney Sweeney Reportedly Considering Conversion to Judaism Amid Relationship with Scooter Braun

Sydney Sweeney, 29, is reportedly exploring a conversion to Judaism, the faith of her boyfriend, talent manager Scooter Braun, a source told Page Six. The speculation comes as the couple has begun discussing the possibility of having children together.

Sweeney has reportedly met with two rabbis as part of her exploration into converting. The process for converting to Judaism can vary in length, typically taking anywhere from one to five years depending on the denomination, and requires a sponsoring rabbi.

Braun, 45, already shares three children with his ex-wife, Yael Cohen, to whom he was married from 2014 to 2022. Sources have previously suggested that Braun is serious about his relationship with Sweeney and is considering proposing.

The couple's relationship became more public earlier this month when Sweeney shared a series of vacation photos on social media. The images included shots of them jet skiing, hiking, dancing, and celebrating with friends. In one photo, Braun lifted Sweeney into the air, and in another, she wore a red swimsuit. Sweeney captioned the post, 'When your man takes you to the moon.'

Sweeney and Braun were first reported to be dating last year. In May, Braun spoke about Sweeney on the Second Thought With Suzy Weis podcast, describing her as an "extraordinary woman who is kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth." He also wished her a happy birthday, calling her "the woman who is the exception to every rule" and someone who has made him "smile harder, laugh louder, adventure more, and dream bigger."

In January, Sweeney addressed the public attention on her relationship in an interview with Cosmopolitan, stating, "I understand that I'm a public person, but I'm still in my 20s. I'm still figuring out love, and it's hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like... At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work—and now I want to experience things. But it's hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I'm just navigating it all."
