Sydney Sweeney Gifts Boyfriend Scooter Braun With 'SB' Necklace

Actress Sydney Sweeney, 29, has offered another subtle tribute to her boyfriend, 40-year-old Scooter Braun, by wearing a necklace with their intertwined initials.

The actress showcased the accessory in new photographs promoting her lingerie line, SYRN. The gold chain featured two delicate charms, an 'S' and a 'B,' serving as a focal point, though the images also highlighted the actress in various pieces from her collection.

Sweeney and Braun began dating approximately a year ago, reportedly after meeting at the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. The relationship, initially kept low-key, has since progressed. A source told Entertainment Tonight early in their relationship that they were "still seeing each other and trying to be as low-key as possible, while still dating and having fun," adding they were "just taking things slow and enjoying their time together."

By December, reports indicated the couple was more serious. A source informed People that "Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great. They’re in a committed relationship, and things are serious."

Sweeney has spoken about the challenges of navigating a public relationship. In an interview with Cosmopolitan in January, she commented on the public's perception of her personal life, stating, "Sometimes I’ll think that I can do a normal thing and have a date in a normal way, and then it gets perceived in a very non-normal way. It’s kind of sad."

She added, "I understand that I’m a public person, but I’m still in my 20s. I’m still figuring out love, and it’s hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like... At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work—and now I want to experience things. But it’s hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I’m just navigating it all."

Braun, in turn, has spoken positively about Sweeney. In May, he appeared on the Second Thought With Suzy Weis podcast, where he described her as "an extraordinary woman who is kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth."

He also posted a public birthday message to Sweeney earlier this month, praising her ability to make the "ordinary" feel extraordinary. Braun wrote, "Happy birthday to the woman who is the exception to every rule. The person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived. You make me smile harder, laugh louder, adventure more, and dream bigger. You've made the ordinary feel exciting and the future feel like something I can't wait to get to."

He concluded the message with, "And I love how corny we can be together, because nothing else matters. There are a million things I could say, but the ones that matter most are just for you. Happy birthday Syd. Many more celebrations ahead. I love you."

The relationship emerged less than a year after Sweeney ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino. Braun's marriage to Yael Cohen officially concluded in 2022; they have three children together.
