Sydney Sweeney Films 'The Housemaid 2' Sequel in Hoboken
Actress Sydney Sweeney was seen on the set of 'The Housemaid's Secret' in Hoboken, New Jersey, alongside co-star Stephen Kalyn.
Sydney Sweeney was spotted filming scenes for "The Housemaid's Secret," the sequel to "The Housemaid," in Hoboken, New Jersey. Sweeney, 29, was photographed on set on Thursday, dressed in a blue off-the-shoulder sweater and jeans, engaging with co-star Stephen Kalyn.
Kalyn, who plays Sweeney's onscreen love interest Brock Cunningham, was seen in a purple sweater and maroon pants. In one captured moment, Kalyn placed his hands on Sweeney's shoulders. Crew members were observed around the pair as they worked on the film.
Sweeney reprises her role as Millie Calloway, an ex-convict who becomes a housekeeper. Michele Morrone, who played Enzo Accardi, the Italian landscaper for the wealthy Winchester family in the first film, also returns for the sequel. In previous shots from Wednesday, Morrone and Sweeney were seen embracing and taking a selfie, with Morrone also kissing Sweeney on the forehead.
Amanda Seyfried, who portrayed Nina Winchester in the 2025 adaptation of Freida McFadden's novel, will not appear in the sequel, though she is serving as an executive producer. Brandon Sklenar, who played Andrew Winchester, also will not return.
Sweeney previously described "The Housemaid," released in December, as her "dream project," telling the BBC that she is drawn to "complex, juicy, crazy, twisted stories." She added that she believes it is important for commercially successful films to address difficult topics, stating, "Being able to have a film that’s on a more commercial level talk about a very difficult topic is important."
