Swimmer Dies After Being Found Unresponsive at Popular NSW Beach

A swimmer has died after being pulled unresponsive from the water at Cabarita Beach in New South Wales. Emergency services were alerted to the situation around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, following reports from surfers who had found the man in the water.

Upon arrival, officers observed three members of the public attempting to revive the swimmer. Paramedics provided treatment at the scene before transporting the man to Tweed Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The deceased has not yet been formally identified but is believed to be in his 50s. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and a report will be prepared for the coroner. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

Cabarita Beach is situated along the Coral Sea coast and is a frequented location for families and nature enthusiasts, offering amenities such as picnic spots and play areas for children.
