Swifties Pinpoint Travis Kelce's Podcast Location Using Old Taylor Swift Photo
Fans identified the New York City apartment where the NFL star recorded an episode of his podcast.
Superfans of pop star Taylor Swift, known as Swifties, have identified the New York City location where Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce recorded a recent episode of his podcast. The discovery was made after a trailer for the show revealed Kelce sitting in front of a framed photograph of New York City.
Swifties quickly connected the background to an old photo of Swift from New Year's Eve 2019. In that image, Swift, dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, is seen drinking from a bottle of Aviation Gin in the exact same spot. Aviation Gin is owned by Ryan Reynolds, the husband of actress Blake Lively, and Swift is the godmother to their children.
Kelce, who recently celebrated his birthday, mentioned that he flew to New York to celebrate with his wife after a game on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. He described enjoying dinner at Torrisi, a restaurant in SoHo. "It was a fun day, got some food out here in New York and went to one of my favorite spots, Torrisi, [got] to hang with Tay, and the best news that I got on my birthday was that we got a victory. Victory dubs!" he said.
While Kelce admitted he doesn't typically celebrate his birthday extensively and did not have a cake, he noted that the restaurant provided "some good desserts" and brought out "the entire arsenal" for him and Swift. The trailer for the podcast also featured his brother, Jason Kelce, attempting to play "Happy Birthday" on the accordion for Travis.
