A walker encountered a striking obstruction on the Wales Coast Path when he found a blue Kia Sportage blocking the route. Canberk Beker, 31, and his wife Bethan Jones, also 31, discovered the vehicle on Saturday morning between Mumbles and Langland Bay.
The SUV had been driven onto the path and became stuck between a concrete fence post and a bench. Beker described the car as "completely covering the path" and mentioned looking inside the vehicle. The driver had apparently abandoned the car after becoming lodged in the obstruction.
South Wales Police stated they did not attend the scene. A local councilor suggested that the driver may have mistaken the walking path for a road before getting stuck.
