SUV Collision With LA Metro Bus Kills Two, Sparks Chain Reaction Including Helicopter Crash

An SUV collided with a Los Angeles Metro bus on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of two passengers and prompting a chain reaction that included the crash of an NBC4 news helicopter hours later. The driver of the SUV, identified as 36-year-old Bailee Lynn Rios, has been booked in connection with the collision.

Exclusive video footage captured the moment the SUV veered into the bus, causing debris to scatter. The initial crash killed two people on the bus. Approximately two hours later, an NBC4 news helicopter that was covering the incident crashed nearby, resulting in two fatalities within the helicopter.

At least one person was confirmed dead and several others injured in the bus crash that occurred in Chatsworth. The full extent of casualties from both incidents is still being determined. Investigations into the cause of both the SUV-bus collision and the helicopter crash are ongoing.
