Sutton Foster Reportedly Concerned Over Hugh Jackman's Close Friendship with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively
Sources suggest Foster is uneasy about Jackman's continued association with Reynolds amid the actor's professional and personal challenges.
Hugh Jackman's close bond with actor Ryan Reynolds is reportedly creating tension in his relationship with girlfriend Sutton Foster. Foster, 51, is said to be concerned about Jackman's ongoing friendship with Reynolds, 57, and his wife, Blake Lively, particularly in light of recent professional and personal difficulties faced by Reynolds and Lively.
A source told Woman's Day magazine that Foster and Lively do not get along, and that Lively's recent legal troubles have impacted Reynolds' career. "Sutton's right to be fearful of Hugh hanging out with Ryan," the insider stated.
While Foster reportedly appreciated Jackman's support for Reynolds and Lively during a protracted legal dispute involving director Justin Baldoni, she is now said to feel enough is enough. However, Jackman is reportedly unwilling to distance himself from his long-time friend. "He knows Ryan's not doing so well and wants to help him get through this, no matter who it upsets," the source added.
This situation is further complicated by Jackman's ongoing efforts to sell his $40 million New York City penthouse. The property has been on the market since March, less than a year after his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness was finalized. Jackman and Furness originally purchased the apartment for $33 million in 2008. An earlier attempt to sell the residence in June 2022 for $54.2 million was withdrawn from the market two months later. The apartment was also listed for rent in September 2023 for approximately $174,000 per month, around the time of their separation announcement.
