U.S. Marshals have arrested Ivan Barias-Florimon, 24, in the Bronx, identifying him as the second suspect involved in the June 3 shooting death of Frederick Raymond Werner, 69, in Milford, Connecticut. The arrest concludes a two-month investigation into the incident that occurred in the coastal town.

According to authorities, Barias-Florimon and another suspect, Stuar Lopez-Reyes, 25, allegedly broke into Werner's East Broadway home on June 3 and began shooting at Werner and his wife. Werner died from his injuries, while his wife sustained a gunshot wound to the head and remains hospitalized.

Milford Police indicated that the attack may not have been random and could have been targeted. Barias-Florimon faces charges including felony murder, conspiracy to commit murder, home invasion, attempted murder, and first-degree assault on an elderly person.

Lopez-Reyes was apprehended by U.S. Marshals, Milford Police, and New Haven Police on Thursday. He is currently being held on a $3 million bond in a Bridgeport, Connecticut jail and is scheduled to appear in court on August 11.

Barias-Florimon was arraigned Tuesday in New York, where a judge ordered him remanded without bail. He is scheduled to return to court on August 18.

Frederick Werner is survived by his wife, sister, two daughters, and three grandchildren. An obituary described him as someone who embraced life, enjoying golf, boating, his pool, and the ocean.

The investigation into the home invasion and fatal shooting is ongoing.
