A man suspected of strangling a mother of three died of an apparent heart attack while attempting to dispose of her body in a remote Alabama wooded area, authorities said. The bodies of Daniel Robbins, 44, and Jessica Folds, 47, were discovered on June 10 in Chambers County, Alabama.

Mike Segrest, a representative speaking about the case, stated that the investigation indicated Folds had been strangled and that Robbins appeared to be in the process of disposing of her body when he suffered a fatal heart attack. Their bodies were found in close proximity to each other. The preliminary findings suggest Folds' death may have stemmed from a domestic dispute, though the location where the strangulation occurred is unknown.

The discovery was made after a passerby noticed Robbins' pickup truck parked on a dirt road near County Road 86. The truck's engine was running, and the driver's side door was open. Investigators observed drag marks leading from the truck's tailgate into a nearby wooded area, where both bodies were found. The bodies were transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for autopsies.

Folds, a mother of three adult sons, was remembered by her obituary as someone who impacted many lives with her kindness and a smile that could brighten the world. Robbins, who had at least one daughter, was described in his obituary as a country boy who enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting, fishing, and racing.
