A man suspected of strangling his girlfriend died of an apparent heart attack last month while attempting to dispose of her body in a wooded area in Chambers County, Alabama, according to local authorities.
Daniel Robbins, 44, was found dead next to the body of Jessica Folds, 47. Autopsies later indicated that Robbins died from a heart attack while dragging Folds' body. Authorities believe Folds was strangled as a result of a domestic dispute, though the exact location of the murder is unknown. The bodies were discovered a few miles from Folds' residence and approximately 125 miles from Robbins' home in Macon, Georgia.
Chambers County Sheriff Jeff Nelson told TMZ that if Robbins' death occurred as suspected, he was "ultimately tried and judged by the man above." Folds' brother, Jason Walters, echoed this sentiment, telling the outlet that the incident was a case of karma and that "the lord works in mysterious ways."
Sheriff Nelson suggested that Robbins, who reportedly suffered from heart disease, may have succumbed to the physical and emotional stress of the crime.
