Suspect Arrested in LA for Alleged Shooting of 49ers Player Keion White
Gregory Walker, accused of firing a weapon after a dispute with rapper Lil Baby, taken into custody.
Gregory Walker, the man accused of shooting San Francisco 49ers player Keion White in February, has been arrested in Los Angeles, according to police officials.
Walker, 35, was apprehended around 5:30 a.m. in Hollywood by officers from the LAPD's Gang and Narcotics Division. He faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon involving a semiautomatic rifle. Jail records indicate he is being held without bail.
The incident occurred on February 8, shortly after the conclusion of Super Bowl 2026. White, a defensive end for the 49ers, had been hosting a party at Dahlia's Lounge in San Francisco's Mission District. Reports indicate an altercation began when rapper Lil Baby was denied entry to the event. During the dispute, a witness reportedly heard two gunshots and subsequently found White had been shot in the leg.
The 49ers organization confirmed at the time that White was a "victim of a shooting" and had sustained a bullet wound to his ankle. White underwent surgery for his injuries and has since made a full recovery. He has played in all four of San Francisco's games this season, accumulating two sacks and six tackles.
White was a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and joined the 49ers via a trade with the New England Patriots in 2025.
