Former Married At First Sight star Susie Pearl has become the subject of split rumors after posting a series of cryptic messages on social media. The posts, shared Sunday, targeted women who pursue married men, coming shortly after Pearl announced she was closing her beauty clinic for an unspecified period due to an unforeseen personal event.
Pearl, 33, initially shared a post on the beach with her son, Lion, stating, "Sometimes life changes in ways you never could have prepared for." She explained that her decision to close the clinic for four months, initially intended for family time and wellbeing, had been altered by events in the past week. "Life changed in ways I never saw coming," she wrote. She has adjusted her plans, opting to take the first four weeks completely off from the clinic to focus on her family and healing before returning in a limited capacity.
"A small amount of work will provide some stability, purpose and routine while I find my feet again, without taking away from what matters most - my children," Pearl stated, expressing gratitude for the support she has received during this difficult time.
Hours after her initial announcement, Pearl began sharing reels that appeared to criticize women who engage with married men. One reel stated, "I will never hate the girl before or after me, but the one who knew about me and still went for it, I hope your teeth fall out." Another shared video featured the text, "'I didn't cheat.' Okay but you entertained women, hid things, crossed boundaries, and made me question myself. What exactly do you call that then?" Pearl amplified this sentiment by sharing it on her stories with the comment, "Oh, okay, yep this one."
Pearl and rugby league player Todd Carney married in January of the previous year. The couple announced their second engagement in May 2024, having reconciled in May 2023 after a previous engagement was called off in 2022. They began dating in 2019, and Carney became a stepfather to Pearl's daughter, Baby. The couple welcomed their second child, a son named King, in February, after undergoing IVF treatment. They also have an older son, Lion.
