Susie Bradley has publicly addressed the end of her marriage to former NRL player Todd Carney, stating that a "betrayal" led to irreparable differences between them. Bradley, who appeared on season six of "Married At First Sight," shared her experience in an emotional Instagram video posted Monday night.
"I have separated due to there was a betrayal and now our differences are irreconcilable," Bradley, 33, stated in the video. She described the separation as a "sh**ty situation" and acknowledged the difficulty of experiencing a marriage breakdown for the first time. Bradley indicated that sharing her journey on social media has been a therapeutic process.
Bradley married Carney in January 2025, and the couple welcomed their second child, King Daryl Carney, in February after undergoing IVF treatment. The couple also has another child, King, and Carney is stepfather to Bradley's daughter, Baby.
Rumors of the separation first surfaced in June when Bradley posted cryptic messages on social media, seemingly alluding to infidelity. One post suggested that while she wouldn't hate women who came before or after, those who knew about her and pursued Carney would face negative consequences. Another video questioned the definition of infidelity when boundaries are crossed and things are hidden.
Bradley and Carney's relationship has had previous ups and downs. They announced their second engagement in May 2024, having reconciled in May 2023 after calling off their first engagement in 2022. The couple began dating in 2019. Bradley expressed a desire for greater kindness and support during relationship breakdowns, suggesting a need for a more compassionate approach to separations.
She emphasized that her public statements are a personal coping mechanism and not intended to harm anyone involved. "Anything I say on here is me purely being silly about my own experience, it's not to harm," she said, adding, "I have a broken heart. It's not a secret. That's what all this s*** is about. Trying to make that feel better."
