Susanna Reid, the 55-year-old host of "Good Morning Britain," has revealed that her toned physique is the result of a relaxed approach to fitness and diet rather than intense gym sessions. Reid, who has been teetotal for eight years, shared that her current routine prioritizes consistency and enjoyment over grueling workouts.

Reid's fitness regimen includes walking two miles daily and a 10-minute YouTube workout performed before her morning shower. This approach is a shift from her previous habits of running marathons and attending multiple gym sessions per week. "I don't have the energy" for strenuous workouts anymore, she admitted, emphasizing the need to keep her body moving despite her demanding early morning schedule.

Dietary Habits

Her diet is primarily pescatarian, excluding all meat products except fish. This dietary choice evolved from a vegetarian diet she followed until her first pregnancy. Reid has been open about her weight management journey since 2018, when a doctor advised her that her Body Mass Index (BMI) was nearing the overweight threshold. By March 2019, she had lost a significant amount of weight after reducing alcohol consumption and limiting snacking.

Reid previously told Lorraine Kelly that she initially consulted a doctor about skin problems, which led to the advice to cut down on drinking and lose weight. She noted that the early wake-up calls for "Good Morning Britain" could lead to an energy deficit, prompting unhealthy snacking habits. By November 2022, she had successfully shed the weight gained during the COVID-19 lockdown, a period during which she found it challenging to maintain her fitness levels due to gym closures.

Lifestyle and Sleep

In addition to exercise and diet, Reid prioritizes sleep, aiming for seven hours per night, and uses an Oura fitness tracker to monitor her sleep patterns. She also incorporates a daily nap between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Reid recently garnered attention while on holiday in Ibiza, where she appeared in a casual ensemble of denim shorts and a black swimsuit, drawing praise from fans. She also used the occasion to rally support for "Good Morning Britain" to win a National Television Award, FaceTiming the show live from a beach club.
