Supermodel Jordan Barrett was seen at the WWD Honors event for Women's Wear Daily in New York on Wednesday evening. The 29-year-old Australian model presented a notably angular facial structure as he posed on the red carpet.
Barrett wore a black blazer and matching trousers, with his dress shirt open at the collar. He accessorized with gold rings and black leather boots, carrying a silk scarf.
Previously, Barrett has been open about body image issues within the modeling industry, stating he has experienced body dysmorphia. He told the Daily Telegraph that models often struggle with self-perception, saying, "I'm around some of the most beautiful people in the world and they all think that they are horrific looking." He described his own experiences of believing he was too thin, often unable to fit into standard sample sizes due to his height.
Barrett also shared in an earlier interview that he took a two-year hiatus from modeling to address anxiety and an ADHD diagnosis. He noted difficulties with concentration due to ADHD.
In recent years, Barrett's appearance has drawn attention, with some fans expressing concern over his perceived gauntness, particularly after his appearance at London Fashion Week in 2023. He later explained his significant weight loss at the time was in preparation for the Vienna Marathon, an event he participated in to raise funds for missing children.
