Waterhouse, who confirmed her attendance at Swift's nuptials in May, is a longtime friend of the singer. She has previously opened for Swift's Eras Tour in London and has known her for approximately a decade. Speaking to Variety, Waterhouse mentioned she hoped to gain inspiration for her own wedding planning from attending Swift's celebration.
"Nothing scarier than the actual planning part, right? I’m gonna go to Taylor’s wedding, and maybe I’ll get some inspiration. It will be amazing," Waterhouse told Variety.
She also spoke about Swift's resilience and artistry. "The coolest thing about her is she gives other artists these insane opportunities that really change people’s lives. Knowing her as a friend, she’s actually been through so much," Waterhouse said. "And I think the thing I always see in her is how she pulls herself through every time, and how everything that’s ever happened to her becomes another piece of art that becomes part of the legacy. That’s so inspiring — that’s the artist that you want to be."
Waterhouse's fashion choices for the rehearsal dinner included a dreamy ensemble with festival-ready eye makeup, featuring a touch of pink. She has been promoting her upcoming album, "Loveland," in New York City, making several public appearances in distinctive outfits. These have included a double-breasted black Saint Laurent blazer with bike shorts and patent heels, a yellow snake-print jacket and skirt from Marine Serre with matching slingbacks, and a graphic tee with plaid leggings and suede boots.
