Sinead McKeefry, the stylist behind the iconic looks of "The Traitors" host Claudia Winkleman, has partnered with the British retailer FatFace to style its new season campaign. The collection aims to capture an elevated countryside aesthetic, drawing inspiration from Winkleman's on-screen style.
McKeefry highlighted the importance of mixing textures, patterns, and rich colors in the new FatFace offerings. "I love the mix of patterns, fabrics, textures, colours, tweeds, flannels and knitwear," she stated. "All the different elements give it such a great depth, quality and it is timeless. I am also impressed by the rich colours; beautiful burnt oranges as well as gorgeous burgundy."
Her approach to styling emphasizes layering as a key technique for adapting to changing weather and creating depth in an outfit. "Mixing a shirt, with a tank top and then a jumper or a gilet, and then an overcoat or waxed jacket or parka is my idea of heaven," McKeefry explained. "Then you’ll be able to take a layer off, tie it around your waist and you still have all the lovely textures, colours, prints and fabrics together."
McKeefry also advises on selecting pieces with longevity, focusing on fabrics like cables, tweeds, and dogtooth, as well as classic items such as wax jackets and Donegal knits. "We are looking for fabrics that stand the test of time; cables, tweeds, dogtooth, wax jackets, donegal knits," she said. "They are not necessarily trend led, but they will keep working in your wardrobe."
Accessories are another crucial element in McKeefry's styling philosophy. "Whether it’s socks, a printed scarf, a hat or jewellery, timeless accessories can be part of your wardrobe forever and you can bring them out time after time," she noted, recommending knee socks and fingerless gloves as enduring choices.
In addition to fashion advice, McKeefry also shared her view on personal grooming, emphasizing the impact of a good manicure in elevating a look. The collection, styled by McKeefry, is now available, offering pieces such as cardigans, check shirts, straight jeans, and barn jackets. The campaign aims to provide versatile options that blend timeless style with practical country living.
